Tyler Bell is Vice President of Emerging Technology at Rule4, with a focus on and passion for operational technology, penetration testing, and AI security. He has spent over 14 years working for cybersecurity firms in Colorado and has held multiple senior management roles in application security and penetration testing.
Tyler has a well-rounded depth of skills and experience. This includes leading complex assessments across a breadth of compliance and best practice standards, building and leading cybersecurity programs, driving secure software development lifecycle practices, and developing strategies for secure architecture, products, and devices. Tyler is adept at building project and program methodologies that create consistency around expectations, communication methods, testing methods, and reporting.
Tyler is a founding member and President of BSides Boulder, a non-traditional tech event created by information security community members. He is also an outspoken data privacy advocate and a member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Away from his desk, Tyler loves working with his hands on home improvement projects and 3D-printing toys with his two children. He enjoys listening to live music with his wife, Jamie, at venues across the Front Range.
