Kimberly Soria

TECHNICAL EDITOR

B.A. in English (California State University, Fullerton), University of Denver Publishing Institute; FEMA NIMS ICS

Kimberly Soria has combined her talents for writing and editing with her love of magic and adventure into a decades-long career with The Walt Disney Company, in roles ranging from an attractions lead and tour guide at Disneyland to her current position as a project coordinator, editor, and technical writer for the Worldwide Safety Technical Publications division. Her continued focus on meaningful relationships, eye for detail, and passion for quality have earned her The Walt Disney Legacy Award, the company’s highest honor for employees worldwide.

Meanwhile, Kimberly has also cultivated an editorial career beyond Disney, with freelance engagements across non-profit organizations, nutrition and dietetics, and education. Her love of foxes and desire for new challenges brought her to technical editing at Rule4, where she works closely with the editorial and peer review teams to deliver high-quality client deliverables at impressive speed.

Outside of work, Kimberly loves learning and sharing local history, volunteering in her community, and creating magical memories with her husband, two sons, and pet tortoise, Bother. She’s also a professional magician’s assistant and performs in shows throughout Southern California, including appearances at The Magic Castle.
